School Rules and Regulatons

RATIONALE

To create a safe school environment that will allow students to focus on knowledge acquisition and the learning of positive values

School Discipline

Objectives

  1. To create an environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
  2. To instill in our students a love for learning and to cultivate values of resilience, respect for self and others, self-discipline, perseverance and the curiosity to learn.
  3. To foster racial and social harmony in a positive school environment with the aim of developing unity among students and national identity.

Morning Assembly

  • Our school begins at 7.25 am with the flag-raising ceremony. All students need to assemble at the parade square by 7.20 am.
  • All Singapore citizens must stand at attention, sing the National Anthem when the state flag is being raised and then recite the pledge, placing their right fist across the chest.
  • Non-Singaporeans are required to stand at attention throughout the ceremony.

All Clementi Woods students must

  • be punctual for school and lessons at all times,
  • attend school, remedial lessons, and CCA punctually and regularly,
  • produce a medical certificate or a letter (letters not exceeding 5 per year) from parent/guardian to explain any absence from school,
  • obtain written permission from the school authorities before leaving the school premises during school hours, and be escorted by an adult family member or guardian when leaving the school early due to illness / other valid reasons.
